ACCOUNTING MANAGER - PLOIESTI

 

The Role:

  • Responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the annual financial statements and tax declarations.
  • Actively participates in the preparation of financial statements necessary for statutory audits and other compliance controls, as well as reporting to headquarters.
  • Leads and oversees the maintenance of the company's financial accounting in accordance with applicable statutory regulations and the group's accounting policies.
  • Prepares and ensures the accuracy of the annual financial statements, including the Balance Sheet, Profit and Loss Account, and accompanying explanatory notes.
  • Maintains and ensures the accuracy of accounting and tax matters related to corporate income tax, and manages the company's Tax Register.
  • Effectively cooperates with financial providers Shared Service Center and BPO.
  • Verifies and ensures the accuracy of the Purchase and Sales Journals, General Ledger, and Inventory Register.
  • Prepares the Trial Balance and coordinates the monthly reconciliation of balances.
  • Maintains and ensures the accuracy of accounting and tax matters related to VAT.
  • Prepares tax declarations, including all VAT-related declarations, the Declaration on State Budget Obligations, local tax declarations, and other relevant reports.
  • Ensures the accuracy of accounting for bank and cash transactions, both in RON and foreign currency.
  • Collaborates with suppliers and customers to resolve discrepancies related to quantities, prices, or payment details.
  • Ensures the accuracy of accounting for fixed assets.
  • Participates in the annual inventory process.
  • Responsible for the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and semi-annual tax reports and serves as a liaison with tax authorities during substantive audits.
  • Actively participates in the preparation of statements required for both financial and internal statutory audits.

 

Knowledge:

  • University degree (preferably in finance, accounting, or economics);
  • Relevant experience in local tax or accounting department;
  • Very good knowledge of Romanian tax regulation related to the income tax and VAT;
  • Very good accounting knowledge (RAS - mandatory, US GAAP – is a plus);
  • Previous experience with internal and external audits;
  • Experience with SAP;
  • At least an intermediate level of English language (spoken/written);
  • High-end PC skills (MS Excel);
  • Accountability and responsibility;
